Energy
Pupils explore energy stores and transfers, learning about kinetic, thermal, chemical and potential energy, efficiency, conservation of energy and energy dissipation. They investigate heating and cooling, specific heat capacity qualitatively, energy pathways and power, and apply simple calculations for energy, work and efficiency. Practical skills include energy transfer experiments and analysing real-life systems.
