Writing
Pupils develop writing by producing accurate sentences and short paragraphs using key grammar, a range of verbs and tenses, appropriate adjectives and connectives, and correct punctuation and register for formats such as emails, narratives and descriptions. They practise drafting, organising ideas, using models and expanding vocabulary to produce coherent pieces with increasing independence and accuracy.
