Key Stage 3 (Years 7–9) · Languages
Speaking
Pupils develop spoken communication by practising pronunciation, asking and answering questions, using accurate vocabulary and functional phrases, and performing short role‑plays to express opinions, preferences and future plans. They learn turn‑taking, intonation and strategies for asking for clarification and presenting information to peers. Activities build fluency and confidence through rehearsal, memory techniques and personalised dialogues to support spontaneous interaction.
