Key Stage 3 (Years 7–9) · Art & design

Sculpture and 3D

Pupils investigate three‑dimensional processes such as modelling, carving, construction and assemblage, developing skills in scale, form, surface finishing and structural joinery, and learning to use clay, wire, plaster, card and found materials safely. They study the relationship between structure and space, learn basic armature construction, and explore texture and patination to communicate ideas.
