Colour theory
Pupils study colour theory through primary, secondary and tertiary relationships, colour mixing, hue, saturation and value, and colour harmony and contrast, including complementary and analogous schemes and the psychological effects of colour. They practise mixing paints, creating palettes, applying tints and tones, and using colour to enhance composition and mood in experimental and resolved work.
