Working scientifically
Pupils develop core scientific skills across topics, including planning and conducting fair tests, making systematic observations and measurements, recording data in tables and graphs, and interpreting results to draw evidence-based conclusions. They learn to use scientific vocabulary, equipment safely, and to evaluate methods and suggest improvements while identifying variables and using classification.
