Key Stage 3 (Years 7–9) · Maths & numeracy
Transformations and constructions
Pupils learn geometric transformations: translations, rotations, reflections and enlargements, including using scale factors and centres of enlargement, and explore combinations of transformations and invariant properties. They practise constructions with ruler and compasses, drawing loci, perpendicular bisectors, and accurate geometric diagrams, and link constructions to congruence and similarity.
