Key Stage 2 (Years 3–6) · History
Local history
Pupils investigate the history of their locality to understand change over time, using evidence from maps, buildings, oral histories and archives to study industry, transport, migration or notable local events and people. They learn to ask historical questions, evaluate sources for reliability, place local developments within wider national contexts, and present findings using chronology and explanation.
