Live theatre evaluation
Pupils are taught to evaluate live theatre critically, analysing performance elements such as acting, direction, design, audience impact and production context while using subject-specific vocabulary and evidence from the performance; they practise note-taking, comparative judgements and composing balanced evaluative responses that consider intentions and effectiveness. Emphasis is placed on independent judgement supported by examples and informed by contextual factors.
