Devising drama

Pupils learn the process of creating original devised pieces, focusing on generating ideas, selecting stimuli, developing structure, refining intentions and documenting rehearsal practices; they practise collaboration, devising techniques, improvisation and applying theatrical conventions to communicate meaning. Assessment skills include annotating processes, reflecting on creative choices and producing coursework portfolios that explain research, rehearsal and refinement.
