Recording observations
Pupils develop observational skills to record primary source material accurately using drawing, photography and annotated studies, emphasising proportion, tone, perspective, texture and colour reference. They learn to use a sketchbook as a working tool for planning, visual research, sample-making and reflective notes that inform development.
