Formal elements
Pupils consolidate understanding of formal elements such as line, tone, texture, shape, form and colour and learn to apply them expressively and structurally within compositions, including investigation of scale, contrast and spatial organisation. They develop analytical and practical skills to manipulate these elements across drawing, painting, print and mixed media work.
